From a box sold in Christine, North Dakota.
Light Chocolate Cake
1-1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. Spry
3 eggs, beaten separately; fold whites in last
1-1/2 sq. chocolate, melted (Baker’s)
1 c. milk
2 c. cake flour, unsifted before measuring
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
salt
Best in loaf pan.

1 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. milk
3 Tbsp. cocoa
Boil 1 min.
Cool and beat.
