Apple Sauce Cake
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. lard
1-1/4 c. unsweetened apple sauce
2 t. baking soda (heaping)
1 t. salt
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. nutmeg
1/2 t. cloves
2 c. flour
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. walnuts
Cream sugar and lard; add applesauce into which soda has been beaten.
