Could it be Wois School? Here’s a link I found: http://www.rcsdk12.org/58

  2. JUDY HRUBY

Can it stand for Womens Army Corps School and Hospital in Nampa, Idaho?

    • carol

I believe you are right… the “a” in other words tends to drift upwards when connecting to other letters such as ‘c” or “k”

    • Marcia

The Women’s Army School (long known as WACS) would have been designated as such.
I’m with Kay. When you compare the r’s in the recipe it appears to be WORS.

  4. Mary K

Looks like Wars to me when I look at the other ‘a’s and ‘r’s in the rest of the recipe they seem to match the ones in the first word.

    • Tiffany

Same here! That is what I saw

    • Stephanie G

Yes that’s what I see too. Could he’d child’s name been Warren & she shortened it to War’s school. I do that w mine too. I think if it was initials she would of wrote all letters seperate instead of 1 word. Hope they figured it out. 🙂 Special recipe & similar to the older version of Quaker oatmeal raisin cookies. They’ve since changed recipe & it just isn’t as great as the original 80’s version.

  6. Jennifer

    Nors-School or Wors-school

  7. Patricia

Wars is the word I believe. At least it looks that way if you compare to the other letters in the recipe.

  8. Reed

I believe it says Nors that is what it looks like to me. Hope I was a help and you get an answer.

  9. Shanda Tenenbaum

    Worse school

  10. Mari

Looks like WACS is the first word maybe . Im thinking this recipe is WWII era

  11. Carla

Match letters from writing below it. Wois, then check to see if that School exists. If you have a date.

  12. Dorothy

I believe it’s Wars, if you look at the recipe for similar letters, it’s what I believe it to be.

  13. Aimee

Wois I’m thinking. Look how she carries the ‘o’ over to connect to the next letter mid word – like in coconut, and cinnamon in the instruction portion. Same with the ‘i’ in the word ‘stir’.

  14. Roxanne Willett

    Waco maybe?

  15. J Dubois

SO IS School is like a career center. There are some in WA now in 2017. I think also MN. Just search so is lots of them come up. That’s why it’s a recipe for 10 dozen.

  16. Pam

It looks to me like Wors. , which may be an abbreviation of Worcester…cuz if you
look close, there appears to be a period after the s. Anyone else see it?

  17. a

I think it is wois school.

  18. Dan

    Wace School
Clearly or not so clearly written in Roundhand script

  19. Shelley Rogers

Think it is short for Warwick School. Hence the shortened version War’s.

  20. Deb

    Looks like Mac’s school

  21. Kristin

    Looks like Work-school

Woss, also commonly known as Woss Lake after the nearby lake of the same name, is a small village in the Nimpkish Valley, located 75 km (47 mi) southeast of Port McNeill and 128 km (80 mi) north of Campbell River on Highway 19, in northeastern Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. The estimated population of Woss and the Nimpkish Valley is 200. The town of Woss lies about 3 km north of Woss Lake, a long, narrow lake stretching about 10 km in a primarily north-south direction with a maximum width of about one km, the southern portion of which is part of Woss Lake Provincial Park.

Woss is a member municipality of the Regional District of Mount Waddington, which also includes Alert Bay, Port Alice, Port McNeill, Hyde Creek, Coal Harbour, Holberg, Malcolm Island, Quatsino and Port Hardy. Woss has regular telephone service, and acquired cellular phone services in early 2016. Woss had one elementary school for many years, that was closed up after its 2015-2016 school year.

Until the mid 1960s, Woss was accessible only by rail from Beaver Cove on the Englewood Railway. During this time, most of the loggers were housed in bunkhouses heated with wood-fired steam. One of the original steam powered locomotives is currently used as a working tourist attraction. Nearby Woss Lake is the main summer recreational playground for Woss residents and the original community campground at the lake is now Woss Lake Provincial Park.

Tage Wickstrom, the school principal until his death in 1986, built the only 440 dirt oval track and field on the north island at his school in Woss. For many years Woss Lake School hosted all of the track and field competitions for School District #85 which included communities from Woss to Port Hardy. The track and field are now known as the “Tage Wickstrom Track and Field” in honour of the educator who built them.

The first word is NORS-National Outbreak Reporting System. It is a food cook train jk by program highly used before the 1980’s by school cafeteria staff on preventing salmonella. They also would provide recipes to schools that had a lower possibilities of cross contamination.

    (Something?) School Oatmeal Cookies
First letter is ‘W’. The cursive W my mother taught me many decades ago. Hard to declare without doubt that it’s Woss, Wors, Wass or Wars based on image on 2” iPhone screen. Histories quoted gives likelihood to couple suggestion. Assume you’ve approached local universities seeking assistance deciphering/ analyzing word.

  47. lel lella

The first letter is either a “W” or “N”–it’s not an “M”–you can see the difference if you look at the “m” on the next line.

  48. Shelley

I think it might be Woes school which stands for white oak elementary school.
