Christmas Trees
1 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
2-1/4 cups sifted all purpose flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. almond extract
Green vegetable coloring.
- Cream shortening. Add sugar gradually.
- Add unbeaten egg, sifted dry ingredients, flavoring, and a few drops of vegetable coloring. Mix well.
- Fill a Mirro Cooky press. Form cookies on ungreased Mirro cooky sheets using tree plate.
Decorate with tiny candles.
Yields 6 dozen.
