From a box sold in Canby, Oregon.
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisc[o?]
1 c. chopped dates
1/4 c. walnuts
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
Beat eggs. Add sugar. Add Crisco, dates and nuts.
Sift dry ingredients. Add to first mixture.
Bake in 8×8″ pan, 325 deg. 30 min.
