The first of two recipes in this box for apple dumplings. The second is here.
They’re actually not mutually exclusive; this is a syrup to pour over assembled dumplings, and the other is the assembly of the dumplings. Strangely, the other recipe seems not to acknowledge the existence of this one and says to sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over them.
From a box sold in Columbiaville, Michigan.
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 t. cinnamon
- 1 T. butter
- 2 c. water
Pour over apples wrapped in pie crust and bake 40 min. at 350.
