True story: I lost a filling on this very kind of candy yesterday. I unwisely bit off more than I could chew and tomorrow, I go to the dentist. But after I lost the filling? I went back and ate more. It’s that good.

Butter Toffee Candy
Place 1c. granulated sugar, 1/2 lb. butter or oleo, and 3 Tbsp. water in saucepan. Cook to hard crack stage, 300 deg., stirring constantly.
Add 1 t. vanilla and pour into thin layer on a buttered pan. Cover with milk chocolate chips, spread evenly when melted. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
