I’m not remembering which province of China used the condensed soup and potato chips.
From a box sold in San Antonio, Texas.
Beef Casserole – Chinese Style
1 lb. ground beef
2 c. finely sliced celery
2 T. table cream
1/2 t. pepper
1 c. crushed potato chips
1 pkg. frozen peas (thawed)
1 can mushroom soup
1 1/2 t. salt
1 small onion (chopped)
Cook beef in frying pan till brown and crumbly. Then turn into 1 1/2 qt. casserole. Arrange peas over meat. Cover with celery.
Mix together the mushroom soup, cream, salt, pepper, and onion and pour over celery.
Sprinkle chips over top and bake at 375 deg. for 30 minutes or till hot and bubbly.
