Starting with tomato sauce and someone else’s barbecue sauce.
From a box sold in Nampa, Idaho.
Barbecue Chef’s Barbecue Sauce
1 to 1-1/2 cups Heavy Tomato Sauce
1/2 cup Morelli’s Barbecue Sauce
3/4 cup water
3 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. dehydrated onion (powder)
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. ground cumin
1/4 tsp. Tabasco or hot pepper sauce
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. salt
Mix all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a slow boil, whisking smooth. Simmer gently for 15 minutes.
Tested okay.
