Sweet And Sour Spareribs
This is for 2 lbs. of pork.
Flour, salt, and pepper meat–brown (in deep oil) until brown. Drain.
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
3/4 cup vinegar
2 Tablespoons soy sauce
Bring to boil. Add two onions cut into sections of 1/8; also 2 medium-size peppers, cut into sections of 1/8.
Add meat to above and time onions and peppers are put in. Simmer until onions and peppers are done. Add 1 can No. 3 (medium-size) can of crushed pineapple. Thicken with about 2 Tablespoons cornstarch. Serve over rice.
