Blue Cheese Dressing

With sour cream, mayonnaise, and four kinds of flavored salt.

From the box of F.J. from Sun City, Arizona. Some cards suggest a family history in Missouri and Kansas.

Blue Cheese Dressing

In electric mixer or blender, blend together:

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 or 3 Tablespoonfuls vinegar (I prefer Heinz Salad Vinegar)
  • 1/2 teaspoonful each:
    • Garlic Salt
    • Celery salt
    • Onion salt
    • Lowry’s or other Seasoned salt
  • Coarse-ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoonful paprika

Beat well, then beat in 2 oz. blue cheese.

Then crumble and stir in 2 oz. blue cheese.

This is a very good recipe. Very flavorful. My only change might be to start with 1/4 tsp. of each of the four salts, as I felt that 1/2 tsp. was a bit too salty. Then if it still needs some, you can add the other 1/4 tsp.
