Hot Fudge Sauce

The first of two recipes in this box for hot fudge sauce. The second is here.

From a box sold in Columbiaville, Michigan.

Hot Fudge Sauce (as written on the card)

1/2 c. undiluted evap. milk
1 pkg (6 oz.) semi-sweet choc. bits
1 c. min. marshmallows
1/4 t. salt
1 1/2 t. van.

Heat milk over low heat until it bubbles around edge of pan. Stir in choc. bits, marshmallows, + salt. Cook, stirring constantly until choc. + marshm. melt.

Heat to desired serving temp., stirring constantly. remove from heat; stir in van. Serve.

Yield: 1 1/3 c.

    • Vanilla–sorry, I shouldn’t have maintained that abbreviation! My theory on how/when to fill-in-the-blanks on the cards has evolved over the years.
