Chili

Parmesan? Potatoes?

From a box sold in San Antonio, Texas.

Chili

1 to 2 lbs. ground chuck
2 to 3 Jalapeno peppers

1 can each (Tall):

  • tomato paste
  • tomato sauce
  • tomatoes, whole peeled

1 large green pepper
1 large onion
2 stalks celery
1/2 average size potato

Brown meat. Drain fat. Put in large pot. Add tomatoes; add enough water to make soupy.

Add all vegetables. Add 1 envelope chili mix and 1 of taco mix; a shot of olive oil; a dash of oregano, 1 bay leaf, thyme, and crushed red pepper.

Simmer 1 to 2 hours; stir often.

Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. Add 1/2 to 1 can of regular beer. Simmer with lid half off, 2-3 hours.
